John Burke

President

John Burke is the founder and president of the Jared Burke Foundation, a nonprofit established in honor of his late brother, Jared, to create healing opportunities through the outdoors. A lifelong resident of Bartelso, Illinois, John has dedicated both his professional and personal life to serving others. With more than 25 years of experience in construction management and engineering, including work on military and infrastructure projects around the world, he brings strong leadership and a commitment to excellence to the Foundation. John was inducted into the Illinois Outdoor Hall of Fame in 2021.

John and his partner Gina live in Bartelso, IL. they share 6 kids, 14 grandkids and 1 great-grandson.

John's passion for conservation, hunting, fishing, and community service began at an early age and was shaped by his family's legacy of volunteerism. Following the loss of his brother in 1999, he was inspired to create a lasting tribute that would help others find hope, healing, and connection through nature. Today, alongside his family, John continues to lead the Jared Burke Foundation's mission of Turning Outdoor Adventures into Lifetime Memories for veterans, first responders, Gold Star families, and others in need.

Chris Burke

Vice President

Chris Burke lives by a simple yet powerful set of priorities: God, family, and business. His life’s

goal is to serve others faithfully and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the less

fortunate.

For more than 30 years, Chris has been serving individuals and businesses in investment

management and financial planning, helping clients steward their resources with wisdom and

purpose. Alongside his love for his wife, three daughters, and grandchildren, Chris believes that

service—both in life and in work—creates a full and richly blessed life.

He holds firmly that loving your neighbor takes care of most of life’s differences, and that living

by grace and humility makes serving others second nature.

Shannon Kluemke

Secretary

Shannon Kluemke serves as the Secretary of the Jared Burke Foundation and brings both heart and dedication to the organization’s mission. She played a key role in helping form the Foundation, driven by her love for her brother, Jared, her love for the rest of her family, and a deep commitment to giving back to the community that shaped them.

Shannon is married to her husband, Carl, and together they share their life with four

beloved furbabies. A lifelong animal advocate, she helped form and always volunteered/fostered for the Clinton County Humane Society, combining compassion with action whenever help was needed. All four of her pups are rescues, coming from all different

situations, and she adores them all.

Professionally, Shannon works as a Finance Manager for Jansen Chevrolet in

Germantown, IL, where her organization and attention to detail support both her career and her nonprofit work. Raised in Bartelso, IL, Shannon is the proud daughter of Sharon and the late John Burke, as well as the proud sister of John and Chris Burke.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with Carl and the dogs at their clubhouse,

spending time with her mama (and the rest of the family), entertaining her great nieces and nephew, side by side riding, boating on the river, and walking the dogs at the dam in Carlyle – simple moments that mean the most!

Shannon would like to thank everyone for their continued support over the years,

enabling them to continue to “Turn Outdoor Adventures Into Lifetime Memories”.

Brian Fuehne

Treasurer

Brian is a resident of Trenton, IL, and a native of Bartelso, IL. He graduated from Mater Dei Catholic High

School in 2000. After high school, Brian graduated with his associate’s degree from Kaskaskia College

and his bachelor’s degree in accounting from McKendree University. He worked for two years as a staff

accountant at Fuehne & Fuehne, LLC in Centralia. While at Fuehne & Fuehne, Brian worked on

compiling monthly financial statements, business tax return preparation, individual tax return

preparation, 1099 preparation, and audits. In 2007, Brian took a job at Cushman & Wakefield (formerly

Collier Turley Martin Tucker) as a property accountant. He performed full cycle accounting for

commercial buildings throughout the United States. Brian took a new position with the company in

2010 performing owner/investor accounting for a major client. After a couple of years, Brian was

promoted to manager, overseeing the full portfolio for the client. He is now a senior client accounting

manager with 15 direct reports.

In Brian’s “spare time”, you can find him with family or in the woods. Family always comes first for

Brian. He spends a lot of time at kids’ practices, games, and performances, and beams with pride during

all of them. Brian learned a deep love of nature from his father, spending most of his summers on a

riverbank fishing and most falls in the woods hunting. Brian’s childhood friendship with Jared, and his

love for the outdoors makes the Jared Burke Foundation the perfect organization for him to volunteer

with.
